The mission of our association is to disseminate and implement the concept of good governance.
Manifesto:
We believe that the concept of good governance is intrinsically linked to a responsible and open public administration, sensitive and capable of responding to social needs. One that is open to dialogue and public oversight, and accountable to citizens for its decisions and actions.
We believe that good governance requires an active attitude on the part of the citizens, who are prepared to take ownership of public affairs and are aware of their rights and obligations, as well as of responsible authorities acting in line with the principles of transparency and participation.
We see transparency as a way of guaranteeing a basic human right: the right to information, and especially universal access to information on the activities of bodies carrying out public duties and deciding on the spending of public funds. We take universal access to mean that information – provided voluntarily as well as on demand – is made available promptly, comprehensively, and clearly.
We see participation as a way of guaranteeing that citizens have a say in the decision-making process, and in the enactment of those decisions.
We are a member of: Anti-corruption Coalition of Polish NGOs (AKOP) and All-Poland Federation of NGOs (OFOP).
